ORA-00942 and Oracle shared_pool

I'm troubleshooting a persistent problem we have with reports that will periodically lock up or take a very long time to run. Most of the time, the report works fine, but sometimes it locks.

Sometimes, recompiling the session code will make the report work faster, or the problem will go away if you wait awhile and try again.

There is no error in any Baan log and I've been searching various Oracle tables and logs.

I tried to output the v$sessions view in Oracle ("select * from v$sessions"). I have little idea how to read this output, but I notice a lot of ORA-00942 (table or view not found) errors, some associated with users running these reports.

There is no corresponding error in the Baan logs or the Oracle alert logs.

I have read that this error can sometimes be associated with a problem in the Oracle cache and running something like "ALTER SYSTEM FLUSH SHARED_POOL;" can fix it.
Has anyone had any experience with something like this in Baan?

Hi,
I am writing an AFS to upload price book lines from text file. As for a me my script is fine and throws no error, but the data is not getting processed and the price is not getting uploaded. Also, the report output is not getting generated. I have pasted my script below.

If any one can throw some light on what I am missing here, it will be much helpful as I am struck for hours on this.

Can you do a "group by" in a query extension...

For example:

Need to capture information in a BOD from Extensibility

Dear All

I have a specific requirement in which BillsofResources BOD is involved. What i want is to add user defined fields in the Lines Component of the BOD using extensibility. Now there may be multiple Lines in a single Header. I want to populate fields in a specific Line. How do i know which Line is being Processed. This is while i am sending a Sync BOD.

Suppose there are 10,20,30,40,50 Position in a BOM BOD. I want to populate only position 30 in a BOD.

Printing Logo using LNUI

Dear all,

We need help with logo.
We implement LN 10.5 but still we use worktop.
We developed reports, such as Purchase Order and Sales Invoice using 4GL.
But with LN UI when we print the Purchase Order and Sales Invoice the logo does not appear.

We are told that we must use LN studio, but this is a new tool.
We have installed and configured LN studio, but still have problem operating it.

Need your help how to make logo appears using LN studio.
Or is there any workaround to make logo appear when printing with LN UI.

VB Script to run the job

We were using a VB script to kick-off the jobs in LN on a Windows XP Machine. Now we have a new Windows 10 machine to do the same job. The same script is no longer working.

The name of the job was passed as parameter to the Parent script. The parent script had details of BW configuration.

Any idea on this?

Hi all,

can i sort a field with domain string, that contains only numbers, like it was a Number field?
Now it is sorted like ==> 1,11,..etc.

It is possible in other ways other than change the domain?

Hello all.
I am in session tdpur4100m00 and I copy an order using tdpur4201s000.
I am writing an extension and I need to have the session code of tdpur4201s000.
I am using

string sessname(15)
import("prog.name$", sessname)

but this is giving me the parent session tdpur4100m00 although I am doing a copy order using session tdpur4201s000.

Please help me.
