Assessable Value during GPD (India Localization) 10.4

Hi,

We want to change assessable value during GPD before receipt process and hit register with the changed value. System is allowing us to change value but it is not hitting register with changed value. Can you please suggest reasons behind the same?

We are using 10.4.
