ATP and EDI

Looking at if and or how ATP and EDI work together.

If ATP is enabled and EDI receives a Sales Order, if no inventory is availabe for the spacified date, how does EDI handle it?

Does EDI work with ATP at all or does it ignore it and load the demand?
