ottiexpatch usage

Guys... after 20 years in Baan, meandered into M3 and now back.... Please help... i am trying to patch using ottiexpatch...using BECS file by adding this to Command window. Actually, when i just enter this object name, it asks if it should patch when i double click and also completes, but i do not see reflection of it when i login (the number of active days should increase. So, please help me with correct usage of ottiexpatch using BECS file
